A 28-minute short film based on real events that presents the most emblematic femicide in the history of Honduras, Riccy, a 17-year-old girl in 1991, goes looking for her boyfriend in a military battalion, at a time when the country was just It was coming out of a decades-long military dictatorship, at that time young people over 18 years of age had to do mandatory military service. Riccy goes looking for help to get her boyfriend out, and finds the most horrendous death, a death that shook an entire country, massively raped, savagely beaten and mutilated, her tongue cut out, her breasts cut out and her vagina pulled out, Until Today the act continues unpunished. Today in Honduras two or three women die every day, just for the fact of being a woman. 95 percent of crimes go unpunished.

Saria Film Festival accepts domestic and international short films while filmmakers are participating in other film festivals.

Foreign (other than English) language films to be submitted with English subtitles, unless Saria Film Festival premieres the competition in the selected foreign country.

Saria Film Festival does not, and WILL NOT own the rights of any filmmaker's short film or content.

Saria Film Festival WILL NOT be responsible for any involvement of unsettled trademarked or copyrighted materials in your project. It is the sole responsibility of the entity submitting the project to secure permission from the trademark or copyright holders of the material in question, whether it is music, stock footage, or any other elements that could violate an existing trademark or copyright.

SFF does not accept short films or content that focus in propaganda, pornography, hate speech, or promote violence.

Participants must complete all forms and questionnaires required for selection.

Saria Film Festival does not pay for screening fees for submitted films.

Saria Film Festival is not responsible for returning fees through filmfreeway. Participants must be aware of the terms and rules of the website.
